Wisdom Teeth Removal in Northeast Edmonton
Wisdom Teeth Removal in Northeast Edmonton
Wisdom teeth usually make their appearance in the late teens or early twenties. For some people, they come in without any issue. For others, there simply isn’t enough room, and that’s when the trouble starts. Pain, swelling, teeth shifting out of place — these are all signs that wisdom teeth may need attention. At our clinic in Northeast Edmonton, near Manning Town Centre, we assess each case carefully and remove wisdom teeth when they pose a risk to oral health.

When Removal Is Recommended
Not every wisdom tooth has to be extracted. Some grow in straight and healthy. But when they’re impacted, tilted, or only partly erupted, problems often follow. Food and bacteria can get trapped around the tooth, gums can become inflamed, and pressure builds against neighbouring teeth. If you’ve noticed soreness at the back of your mouth, swelling, or repeated infections, it’s worth having them checked.
What the Procedure Involves
We start with an exam and digital imaging to see how the teeth are positioned. If removal is needed, the area is numbed so you stay comfortable. Some extractions are straightforward — the tooth is loosened and lifted. Impacted teeth can take a little more work, sometimes involving a small opening in the gum. Before we begin, we’ll explain the steps so you know exactly what to expect.
Recovery and Follow-Up
Most people are back to normal routines within a week. There can be some swelling or tenderness at first, but careful aftercare helps. We provide written instructions that cover how to manage discomfort, what foods are easiest while healing, and how to keep the area clean. Follow-up visits may be scheduled to check progress.
