Dental X-Rays in Northeast Edmonton
Not every dental concern shows up in the mirror. Cavities can start between teeth, infections can sit quietly at the root, and bone changes aren’t visible at all. Dental X-rays let us see what’s happening below the surface. At our Northeast Edmonton clinic near Manning Town Centre, digital X-rays are part of how we build a clear picture of your oral health.

What They Show
An X-ray might reveal a cavity before it causes pain. It can confirm if a wisdom tooth is impacted or if bone levels around the teeth are changing. For children, X-rays show how permanent teeth are developing. For adults, they’re often the first sign of a problem that hasn’t caused symptoms yet. In plain terms: they help us find things early, when treatment is usually simpler.
The Process
Digital imaging is quick. You’ll be positioned in front of the sensor, the image is taken in seconds, and the results appear right away. Radiation exposure is very low, and digital systems lower it even further compared to old film X-rays. Once the images are ready, we sit down with you, point out what we see, and explain what it means.
How Often They’re Needed
Not every visit includes X-rays. Frequency depends on age, dental history, and risk for cavities or gum disease. Some people may need them yearly, others less often. The goal is to use them when they add value, not to take them unnecessarily.
